Why Camden Needs Zipcar and why the Council Must Act Now

Cllr Matthew Kirk, Lib Dem Councillor for the Belsize ward has written to the Camden New Journal to say car-sharing has been central to Camden’s success in cutting car ownership, improving air quality and freeing up street space. Zipcar’s announcement that it may leave London puts those gains at risk. With other councils already taking action to support car clubs, Camden must urgently catch up and show it is serious about sustainable transport.
