Lib Dem Linda Chung wins Hampstead by-election

Local campaigner Linda Chung has won the Hampstead by-election, capturing the previously Conservative seat with a dramatic swing of almost 10% to the Liberal Democrats.

Linda Chung (Lib Dem) 1242 (44.6%)

Conservative 1114 (40.0%)

Labour 289 (10.4%)

Green 140 (5.0%)

BNP 29 (1.0%)
