MISERY LINE CHAOS SPIRALLNG OUT OF CONTROL

Commenting on the complete shutdown of the Northern Line today, London Assembly Liberal Democrat transport spokesperson, Geoff Pope, said: "The chaos with the Misery Line is spiralling out of control. This is a mess that has finally boiled over after months of warning signs.

"The disgusting mess that has brought the closure of the entire Northern Line is simply unacceptable. There is some serious explaining to do to long suffering Northern Line passengers."

Ed Fordham, Parliamentary Spokesman for Hampstead and Highgate Liberal Democrats, said "This morning there were massive queues for buses, you got no impression that extra buses were being laid on and there were no staff directing people other than to say that the line was closed. I managed to get the staff to open the ticket office to enable me to renew my travel card so i could travel on the buses, but it was a struggle and I had to push the staff to do it."
